DA is not executing crons

I had to reinstall a server, it is now fresh clean install. OS is Alma Linux. Server hosts a web shop, running some crons to load feed from suppliers every 8 hours. I had that working previously, it also works on other servers in exactly same configuration, exactly same crons. The problem I have now is that crons are not working, none of them, logs are empty. Any ideea what the cause may be? It is related with this new install I think. Thanks.

Check the default, aka system email account of the user for possible messages with errors from cron.

Als check that crond is running, which should be the case but one never knows.
systemctl status crond
