We are happy to announce the release of DirectAdmin 1.713.

A full release change log is here:

DirectAdmin 1.713

The update should be automatically available for all installations subscribed to the current release channel.

We appreciate all the feedback on forums and issues reported in the ticketing system.

Thanks!

Note: Automatic DA updates will only start on 2026-10-26 8:00 UTC (Monday).

Since abandoning sysbk problems with System Backup from DA 1.709 and upwards. See my earlier post about it.

Fixed it with:
Code:
cp -a /usr/local/directadmin/shared/sysbk.sh \
      /usr/local/directadmin/shared/sysbk.sh.bak

sed -i 's/ --ssl-reqd//g' /usr/local/directadmin/shared/sysbk.sh

Sysem Backup stopped working, System Backup script update.
Code:
An error occurred during the backup 9/27/2026, 10:57 AM
Starting System backup...

Prechecks:
  Sanity checks: ....curl: (64) Requested SSL level failed
<br>
Why? FTP does not need SSL.

Edit: I changed the FTP server to accept ssl (Enable TLS support), now this message appears:
Starting System backup...

Prechecks:
Sanity checks: ....curl: (21) QUOT string not accepted: DELE /Redacted/upload_test.txt
<br>

The file was uploaded to my ftp server, but as a security I don't allow deletion or read actions by FTP, only for myself as a local user.
Please skip the delete test and I'm happy with ssl ftp.

Edit 2: For testing purposes I gave R/W access to my ftp server. Now again another error appears.
Starting System backup...

Prechecks:
Sanity checks: .... Done
Free disk space: .... Done

Archiving:
/var/named
/etc/named.conf
/etc/openlitespeed
-> /backup/09-27-26/sysbk-09-27-26.tar.zst .... Done

Transfer:
/backup/09-27-26 -> redacted.net ....curl: (18) server did not report OK, got 426
<br>

Edit 3: Other observation. the backup file on my DA server in/backup/09-27-26/sysbk-09-27-26.tar.zst seems to be valid, the file uploaded to my ftp-server seems to be corrupt/incomplete.

Edit 4: After every failure the /backup directory is not cleaned up. When starting a new backup I get the message:
Starting System backup...

Prechecks:
Sanity checks: ....backup already performed for 09-27-26 (/backup/09-27-26), aborting...
<br>

Then I have to SSH to my server to delete the leftovers from the backup.

Edit 5: Backup and Restore still works fine.
