Solved Email tracking gone

Hi,

yesterday i was really happy to find a new button 'E-mail tracking' in DA. All the e-mail was listed, including - if available - current status and details. Super buzzed about this, much needed!

To my dismay today, needing it for diagnostics, i found the panel was gone again. The link to it was still in my browser history but when accessing it i got a orange box telling me the feature was disabled and i should contact my Administrator (thought that was me, as ADMIN :-)).

Any thoughts? Is anyone working with this panel and can anyone shed some light to why it's disappeared?
 
The e-mail tracking button is part of the PRO pack. So you have to enable the pro pack for your license (if possible).
As far as I know the pro pack has been temporarily been enabled to be able to test and remove some bugs/issues.
 
That would explain the temporary availability. We rent our DA licenses from our host, how can i see what pack i have? I assume the PRO is more costly??
 
The Pro Pack is available for free with the Lite and Standard licenses.
I'm not sure if they can be rented seperately for other licenses except for old lifetime licenses which have to pay the yearly extended support to get it.
 
It is a shame that there is no possibility of acquiring the PROPACK for all types of licenses, paying the difference, of course.

In my case I have dozens of NOC licenses and I have no options.
 
I don't know about NOC licenses. I know old lifetime can get them, so maybe NOC licenses can too when paying for them.
You can best ask sales to be sure. Unless you already did.
 
They should think about licenses all together. For a small company as mine (less than 100 servers) there are not many options.
 
My company is even way smaller than yours. I do email issues via the logfiles as can be done easily also.
The trackig in the pro pack just gives a nice GUI as far as I know.

i know, but the GUI is easier and is transferrable. Not all our employees have enough knowledge nor privileges to access this data and parse it. While the GUI seems to be suitable for more beginner type. Also on longer terms we are considering to add this to our API which we build into our ERP software to do basic server build and stuff... not sure if the logreader will be available in the API but one can only hope :-)

All accounts (including internal/NOC accounts) have access to our bulk pricing discount on retail licenses -- so they should be able to offer Pro Pack licenses at some savings to you. This is even true if they are utilizing only legacy lifetime licenses.
 
Hey, ok this looks promising. How can i go about getting this done. Can i see in my DA if i have NOC or something else? Can i upgrade myself whilst the license is not my property?

Probably not, at least I haven't found this feature yet.

P.S. I've got my PRO pack yesterday and email tracking works perfectly there.
 
Thx for sharing your experience. Our supplier unfortunately does not offer the PRO pack yet.
 
Yeah, that's a sad situation. Sometimes it's difficult without email tracking software because you can identify a lot of useful data for boosting the quality of the services. I remember the times when we were working without such a tool, and it wasn't the best experience ever. It allows not just to gather important data, but to understand the true behavior of a customer.

Unfortunately, Gmail, yahoo, and Apple have started a war against email tracking "to protect" the personal data of the users. Honestly, I don't wanna use the opportunity to use the email tracking services because they provide the necessary info I need.
