Hello,

I want to make backup to ftp server,
it worked very good until last week
i install CSF in my server
so an error occurred during the backup.

User adelbbj has been backed up.
Data connection timed out.
Falling back to PORT instead of PASV mode.
Could not read reply from control connection -- timed out.
ncftpput /home/tmp/admin/user.admin.adelbbj.tar.gz: timed out while waiting for server response.

Your probably blocking outbound passive ports.

KISS and APF do it automatically; I don't use CSF, so I don't know. But I do know there's at least one thread herein on CSF; perhaps asking in that thread, or asking the person who created the howto, will know.

Or you may want to ask on a CSF specific forum or list.
