FTP question

I can access our FTP site through Internet Explorer using ftp.domainname and logging in.

I have created an additional FTP account which I can access using a FTP client, but cannot access through IE.

I have tried ftp.domainname, ftp.domainname/newaccount and even set up a subdomain newaccount, but nothing seems to work.

I'm guessing I'm missing something simple here - I'd be grateful for any help.

Unless you give very specific information (how you set up the ftp account, exact path including real information, etc.) it's impossible to tell.

But by default setting up an ftp account does nothing to make http aware of it.
