How many accounts is too many?

Im having difficulties with a server and I am wondering if the amount of accounts on the server is contributing to it.

Rather than focus on the difficulties, someone tell me if 255 pages of users is too many ? (server stopped counting long ago) and what is the max one should safely consider with DA ?

It largely depends on the specifications of the hardware wat the maximum number of users you can have without overloading your server is, but 255 pages of users is probably way over that number.
