Hello,

A customer has taken over his domain to my DA-based server. Problem is that he provides his own DNS server and his mailservers...

How can I create a web-only domain in DA? The big problem is that when an e-mail is generated to this domain on the server itself (ie. my own webmail, or auth_smtp or php's mail function), messages will be bounced with the "user does not exist" or other error messages, due to the fact that my SMTP server believes the domain is handled by himself...

Any idea?

Thanks,

hkr

Actually he should be doing number 2.

Because it makes sense for DNS on the server to match the DNS the world sees, and because if the server uses itself for DNS resolution, his server needs to see records pointing to the right place.

Thank you! The e-mail issue is now sorted. That checkbox is a bit hidden, so I had not realized it was there or what fucntionality it really had.. but it works now fine.

What concerns the DNS, I still am not certain I know what to do, but in the particular case I will take hosting his DNS over to solve the thing. Question is what to do when the next customer wants the same :)
