How to publish .net app from Visual Studio with FTP?

Hi Everyone,

I need help! I am new to directadmin (coming from plesk). In plesk, there is a option to download publishing settings so i could upload to my Visual Studio .net webapp in the publish settings to publish through FTP. LIke as per https://lucasology.com/?url=How to Host your _d9a2.Net Core Application on GoDaddy Windows Hosting

HOWEVER, I dont see a similar option like this in directadmin. I also tried following https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/v...loy-aspnet-web-app?view=vs-2022&tabs=ftp-ftps to publish through FTP and it pushed some files but it didnt work.

Someone please tell me step by step how I can publish my website from Visual studio! I appreciate any help!

Erm, you would need Windows hosting, which, Directadmin is Linux only.

Or do you mean, you just want to upload the finished .exe installer?

This is a bit outdated, since .net core was released linux is a first class citizen in the .NET world.

Basically you setup apache to proxy to to your kestral(asp net app )
