I have a question about the lifetime licenses, maybe it's been asked before and I can't find it. I understand that there are no more lifetime licenses, which makes sense. When I check the license price on the site, those are pretty hefty amounts per month. If you run a shared hosting server, you can still fairly distribute the costs across all customers, though you also don't want to set up servers with an extremely large number of customers, preferring somewhat smaller servers instead.
But looking at the license costs for a VPS customer, it's almost unsellable. The portion of the DirectAdmin license cost becomes so significant. Apart from the DirectAdmin license fees, there are of course a lot of other costs to run a server and then competing with big companies becomes more or less impossible, or am I seeing this wrong?
I also have a question about how the lifetime licenses work. Will they continue to function properly as long as we use them, or will there be certain features that become unavailable in the future? For example, will we be unable to install something like PHP 8.3
Thanks!
