I use DA version 1.646 on my servers. This is my conscious choice, I don't want to update DA. Why did you block me from using this version? How can I restore it? Now the message is displayed:

License check failure See the Debug GuideReason: transparent license check failure: incompatible version, please upgrade DirectAdmin

I use 1.646 and it works for half a year. Suddenly it stops. I don't feel like updating DA, I want to use the version of my choice (this is the last version that supports suPHP).

Sorry but this is not possible.
Its either update to a more recent version that is compatible with the new licensing system or a non functioning DirectAdmin.

EDIT: Sorry but I mixed up the versions.
Your DirectAdmin should work since it is compatible with the new licensing system.

Please check if you are using the newer license key.
If you have not updated the license key to the new key format, then please do as it should solve the issue.
If you did this already (or Directadmin already did this for you) then the best way is to contact DirectAdmin via a support ticket as only they can help with licensing issues.

I have a new license system, I also tried the old one.
I don't know if contact is possible because the license is lifetime.

I received an answer that it's not a bug, I had to update it and not discuss it.

Hmmz... that's odd as I thought the lifetime ment you could just stay using it as long as you did not need to update other stuff.
So are we now obligated to update DA versions? Hmmz..

As far as I know they will also stop working due to the old license system, one can't use older versions.

I asked around and I wasn't aware of this and @realcryptonight probably also not, but it seems due to the new licensing system at a certain point one can not get that many versions behind. This is new to me too.

To solve this issue permanently please issue the following commands as root:

Code:
da config-set autoupdate 1
da config-set autopatch 1
da update

This will make sure you are running latest DirectAdmin version and ensure you will receive the updates automatically.
