Hi,

I have noticed that the used space of one of my websites has grown a lot the past months. I think that's because of a lot of activity on a mailing list. How can I delete the old mails sent to the list ?

You could also be seeing a problem I identified with majordomo a few years ago, where the posts were not getting added to a digest properly and getting left out there. I posted a fix here http://directadmin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=21856 . If you aren't interested in digests, then you should be able to safely remove those files.

The files are located in /etc/virtual/<domainname>/majordomo/digests/<listname>-digest where domanname is the domain name and listname is the name you gave the list. There may also be some files in /etc/virtual/<domainname>/majordomo/archive.

Another place to find some archives are:
/etc/virtual/<domainname>/majordomo/lists/<listname>-digest.archive

These would all have to be removed by root, since they were owned by majordomo and I haven't see anything in DirectAdmin to allow cleaning of these files.

Hello,

I'll add some info for the User about how much spaces it's using, and a "Delete" button for a future DA release.

Hello,

FYI: It's in the versions system:
http://www.directadmin.com/features.php?id=1081

Would someone be able to paste the files from their archives? It seems that our test system has never created any archives.
Just paste an "ls -la" output and include the path that the archives were in.
Once I know what to delete, I can add the button into DA.

It's almost 2 years since HOD asked about any progress...has there been any?
