mod_rewrite configuration

I apologize if it's not the right thread to ask this.

I have uploaded a webpage and the index page is loading fine, but other pages are not, it shows me this error:

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Apache/2 Server at xxx.com Port 80

I have read it may be an .htaccess issue due to a disabled mod_rewrite. Is there a way can edit that?
