I can't seem to figure out how to do this. I've searched the forums but I'm only seeing old threads (2003!?).

I have "domain.dom" that is setup under the "admin" account. I need to take "domain.dom" and give control of it to "user1". What is the best method for accomplishing this?

TIA.

I don't think this is enough if you're using Dovecot. Hopefully someone from DirectAdmin staff will be able to revisit their instructions.

is it possible to see the howto from id 108 ? Because I want to move a domain from an account with 25 domains and first making a backup and than restoring it is very annoying.

Are there any plans a-foot to have some form of domain movement tool?

I use the HELM control panel on our windows servers and it has a lovely domain movement tool, you just select the two different users, and click on move!! :)
This is of course made easier on Windows as all the domains for an account are not located in a single home directory (/home/user1 for example) but are seperate entities and only associated with the username in the control panel.

The reason i ask this is that i have a client with multiple domains in one account and they only want to move a single domain, so the solution for moving domains between accounts will not really work that well.

There should be a "move_domain.sh" tool in the scripts directory on some releases, but it's not yet completed. It will do the basic DA files, but doesn't touch other things like email accounts, ftp accounts, or anything not directly in the data/users/username directory.
It is much simpler to use, but it's not yet tested or completed, etc.
