Moving a File via Shell

Hey,
I'm a complete newbie and I need to know how to move a file from

/import to the user_backups directory of a reseller.

mv...

example:
mv /source/file /target/file

I would suggest searching google for linux basics or pick up a book from the nearest library or bookstore
