Nameserver issues

Hello,
Iv been searching many days over the internet to find a doc on setting up nameservers with directadmin + debian. I would like it very much if someone would write me a list of what needs to be done or point me in the direction of a good doc,

You basically only need to add A records in your domain pointing to the IPs of the server(s) where named is running and then register those names and IPs with your domain registrar so that they will be accepted as nameservers for domains. That is usually quite easy and free of charge.
Those A records would most likely have ns1 and ns2 and name (so you get ns1.domain.com and ns2.domain.com).

Iv done all that so your saying there mostlikley working? lol
how can i test without having to add a domain to my nameservers and waiting 48 hours?
