Hi,

I'm wanting redirect a domain name so it points to a domain website hosted on the server managed by domainadmin.
All the instructions I've seen suggest that there is a 'domain alias' option when you scroll down on the home page to advanced features. I do not have advanced features and so don't have domain pointers.
I am currently logged on as an admin also

Thanks scsi, I managed to get that far but then when I input it in it says it can't add the alias because the domain is already there.

Our setup is, the server hosts 1 DomainA, we have DomainB as an alias of DomainA and now we need DomainC also as an alias of DomainA.

Can DomainA only have 1 alias, is that the problem?

Is the user an admin user? If not you will have to go to manage users in admin or reseller and make sure domain pointers has a value greater then one for that user.

It might help to attach a screenshot of what you see on the screen. You should only get an error like that if the domain already exists somewhere on the server.

DirectAdmin uses the existence of the DNS record to indicate the domain is already hosted on the server. To use a pointer you'll need to first remove the DNS zone if it exists.
