SSL ISSUes

I have Just installed Free & automatic certificate from Let's Encrypt


But having some issues

1st of all i have changed the settings so private_html and publish html are the same via domain set up

But when i go to our website is still doesn't show SSL?

website www.socomtactical.net Do i need to do any thing else or is it edited via website to call for it?

also noticed if i go to https//www.socomtactical.net it becomes distorted

Hi Laurence,

It seems like you're forgetting the step to start using your new website URL. I don't know what CMS you are using, but you will need to set https://.... as your website's address and make sure all the links on your website are updated (including images).

Using a .Htaccess file you can also force all visitors to redirect to the SSL pages. In case you need any help, feel free to send me an email.

Linking private_html to public_html only means that both HTTP and HTTPS website will show the same thing, in fact https://www.socomtactical.net/ works.

If youo wanna force the use of HTTPS you need to use .htaccess or other methods as Niels suggested.
