Virtual Dedicated Server

Hello,

I dont know if this is a right place.

Is this possible to setup a Virtual Dedicated Server via DA.

Like give my reseller's root username password and assume they are using a Virtual Dedicated Server ? Please let me know if this is possible & If this is possible I would like to know how ?

Also in Reseller section there is an option for setting up an IP and one section called Virtual IP or Name Server some thing like that. What exactly does that mean.

It's possible to run DirectAdmin on a vps (I think ), but you can't set it up through DirectAdmin if that's what your asking. (Again, at leat not that I'm aware of)

If you give your users your root username password they'll be logging in to the same account you log in to.

DirectAdmin is known to work with both Xen and Virutozzo, but in both cases you have to use those packages to set up a virtual server system, and then virtual user accounts, and then install a separate DA license for each of these virtual user accounts.

I believe that's just a way to make sure that DA will respond to DNS requests to a given IP# that's not the main IP# for the server.
