Solved OVH Internal License - Licensing error - license is expired

It's working now! We’ll give OVH another chance and hope they let us know what caused the 'problem'.

It's great that this has been resolved but from a customer perspective the process was extremely poor. It would have been much better to have stated clearly what the issues were up front rather than have everyone wasting their time at the CLI. The lack of transparency is unsettling.

This episode has shown the very worst side of leasing software.

I hope it was just a payment issue from OVH an not a commercial wrestling on licence prices between the two parties..
But we will never know, none of them communicated more details on the incident.

I’m having the same problem again as in September 2024 — the DirectAdmin license I buy through OVH is showing as expired. Is anyone else with an OVH internal license experiencing this issue?

I just checked here and my license has also expired, and here we go again with another commercial dispute between DA and OVH.

I tried this procedure:

echo 'Provided license key should go here' > /usr/local/directadmin/conf/license.key
chmod 0600 /usr/local/directadmin/conf/license.key
systemctl restart directadmin

but without success (it was certainly deactivated by DA to force some payment from OVH... The worst part is that my license is paid until December 2026).

@chuvadenovembro, please try another 'systemctl restart directadmin" command as we try to resolve this. We apologize because it does seem to indicate some kind of back office problem, and not an attempt to coerce anything.
