AwStats plugin for DA [Still in BETA]

I created a crontab by editting /etc/crontab and added this line:

10 0 * * * root /usr/local/directadmin/plugins/awstats/hooks/cgi-bin/awstats_updateall.pl now -awstatsprog=/usr/local/directadmin/plugins/awstats/hooks/cgi-bin/awstats.pl

But the crontab isn't working (no stats updated after 00:10 hours). What am I doing wrong here?

My OS is Fedora Core 4

Edit:
Nevermind, I had to restart crontab service (I think)

Well I don't know when and what the button does. But it sounds stupid if DA programmed the button to not only update the users disk usage (wich is a simple edquota -l user) command, But then it also rotates it's logs and parses it's bandwidth usage? It's a Disk usage update button. Again I've said it just requests the new Disk total from the quota system.

yes I may be over worried here, I will email john and try abd get info as to how it works. I know before the feature existed the only way to update tallies on deamand I knew off was to manually run the tally routine which rotated the logs.

Guys, I have this plugin running on 2 servers and it's doing the same thing on both.

Stats are only being run on the 10 minutes of time after midnight. I am using the correct crontab entry, so that's not the issue. Anything I can check?

If I'm right it is possible to use Awstats with subdomains by default. Only the combination of DA with the plugin only let you install the stats on your main domain.

Is it possible to manual add sub.domain.com through Awstats plugin?

If you've used the cron in the first post. Then this is correct!

No it is not possible. only if you add a subdomain as domain in DA.

What do you mean? I should only get the first 10 minutes of stats?

I am using

10 0 * * * /usr/local/directadmin/plugins/awstats/hooks/cgi-bin/awstats_updateall.pl now -awstatsprog=/usr/local/directadmin/plugins/awstats/hooks/cgi-bin/awstats.pl && echo 'action=tally&value=all' >> /usr/local/directadmin/data/task.queue

I would have assumed it would run on the previous days logs, and then move the log files.

Your right. IT shouldn't process only the last 10 minutes. (I thought you meant something else).

The tally all should run the logrotate and in the above config it does it after the stats are generated. Do you have 2 lines in your crontab ? 2 lines with the tally&value=all ???

No, it's all on one line.

The whole entry is on one line, should there be two entries?

No only one. If that ain't the problem, i can't understand what else would

Maybe this is an issue with logrotate and the DA tally. As far as I know DA will do the logrotate of the httpd files, but maybe on some systems the logrotate deamon als runs and this will cause the logs to be rotated by logrotate before DA and Awstats are runned.

Alter the awstats.none.conf in the hooks/cgi-bin dir of the plugin and use awstatsinstall.php in the hooks dir to update all configuration files.

Please check the permissions. As the directory isn't correctly setup as "suexec" says in the logs!

DRKT, econcepts and others

The direct link to the lastest awstats version isn't working! See first post! I'm bussy finding a solution. At this moment I've little time as certain important things within the company have to be sorted out. Please bare with me.. This will be fixed as soon as possible!

v2.1.8

Fixed: awstats updating script. If you want to update your plugin to the latest version of awstats run from ssh:

/usr/local/directadmin/plugins/awstats/update/update.sh

Enjoy!
