ConfigServer shutting down as of 31st of August 2025

Is there any good alternative for CSF that besides network filtering also does brute force detection and connection tracking/limiting?

Hi, thanks all for updating the community. Can someone add a sticky that we can follow how to maintain the csf. I blocked auto update at version 14.24 and right now custombuild shows available version 15.05. Is it safe to update from custombuild or there are any steps that needed to be taken. I have read the whole thread and still not sure how to proceed.
Thanks

Yes you really SHOULD update.
Everything after 15.0 is maintained by the DirectAdmin teams. (And also hosted on the CDN of directadmin.)

Custombuilds also turns off auto update now (even though in your case it already is) so it can not be updated maliciously.

Exactly. If i'm right, DA have their own copy/fork of the CSF 15.00 on Github, and release updates to us as the needs change for DirectAdmin. I'm happy updating my CSF installs when DA release another version. I'd be wary of installing any other updated versions from other nefarious sources though unless you trust the code 100%
