We're pleased to announce the release of DirectAdmin 1.62.5.
This is a minor release with some handy new features and a few bug-fixes.

Noteworthy New Features

• Update Channels: stable, current, beta, alpha Allowing for delayed, normal, RC testing, or dev testing updates.
• second-level TLD list to block adding of invalid domains
• Suspend in background if too many Users (disabled by default)

Noteworthy Bug-Fixes

• Optimize existing User list query on "Create Database" page
• DNS: Delete records not affecting pointer zones
• Update to explicitly call ./directadmin p from scripts/update.sh
• Manual task.queue rewrite cleared some dovecot sni configs
• DNS: Create Pointer to mirror master zone, and not use default zone template
• Nginx: Protected paths to allow spaces
• Admin SSL incorrectly shows valid=no for some valid certificates
• dataskq to correctly detect filesystem type on main quota_partition
• Double-level /var/home/fred breaks "is directory protection on" check

The update channels (accessible through your Admin Level » Licenses/Updates) will allow you to delay the shown "Latest Version" seen by DA, in case you want to wait for things to have more testing in the wild before updating. We'll change this delayed "stable" version after an amount of time we feel is sufficient to be sure there are no major issues in the release. (Eg: ballpark, 2 weeks, at our discretion).

Will this work along custombuild update script as well? I believe customscript will update DA if configured to auto update web apps.

Yes, the build script does DA update requests through the task.queue, which is called by the dataskq. As long as it's done through the DA binaries, it will respect the channels.

EDIT: Why is it not more possible to create reseller users with a subdomain ( as real domain itself) wen this main not sub domain is in use by another user/ reseller?

EDIT: IT is possible , but if protected settings for creating sub domain other user then no, then THIS BUG is there see below.

DA 1.62.5 evo latest custombuild user reserleler tried to create under SERVER ADMIN!

It was before possible if you create now a user with then error, but user and all created but not in DA GUI and ...


Example:

Server FQDN hostname: vps.domain.com

A reseller with that domain.com

Then other resellers with the "dummy" vps-1.domain.com , vps-02.domain.com was working now only error and still this BUG:

The only change with this update is the error is not saying the domain is in use by other but error without..

SO BUG while should not be doing anything.

I tried manually re-download the license but no luck.

(EVO this DA version Centos8) BUG IPV6 Asinged to user under reseller before a restore.
After restore no assigned ipv6 vissible under Modify that User also not possible to free that one

Nothing is possible with that ipv6 anymore it seems, not in evo not in enhanced, you can see it in admin ip management (pic2) only , but not in reseller ip (pic1) management and at user also nothing from that ipv6.
The with :300 is working under same reseller other useraccount the with : 200 gone after restore that user from other da server. ( restore in evo under users restore) ( but can't do anything with that ip, is not vissible in user or reseller only under admin overview you can see it is still asigned)

​ 2a01:..........200 could not be removed, you must free it first. 2a01:.......200 is not set to 'free' or is still assigned to a reseller

UH more people having problems testing ssl-tools.net that was not before strange BLOCKING only 1 test is working now then no find / connection possible anymore.

This in LOG with the only one green emailtest :

The same issue happens here since the last update (1.62.5). When trying to refresh the page a few times, the following error is displayed:



We run the command:

service directadmin restart

and access to the panel returns normally. After, everything stops working again.

I did a test with the DirectAdmin demo, and it's the same error (https://demo.directadmin.com:2222 - Login: admin_demo).
It appears to be a bug that needs to be fixed urgently.

Yes, I am also getting "Secure Connection Failed" errors since the update to 1.62.5. It doesn't happen every single request, but makes the panel basically unusable. Sometimes the panel loads but immediately throws "Unable to reach network. Please check your internet connection." errors, probably because of the same problem with a javascript request, or assets on the page fail to load.

We too are having exactly the same "secure connection failed" SSL issues with DA and "Socket write" errors in the DA error logs. DA is unusable so we have rolled back to a previous version until this is fixed (hopefully soon!).

Also why is that group not editable in the DA GUI as ADMIN?

The BUG is wen a User exist with a asigned IPv6 after restore other DA server not having that same IPv6 this happens, with the Ipv4 no problems also other ip. ( older DA server years ago.. didn't have that secure acces group that way )

We tried the following
- downloading new license file
- restarting DA and rebooting the server

We also tried these commands that smtalk suggested.
service startips start
service directadmin restart

Anyone else with a fix? Or suggestions to try?

For @DirectAdmin Support sofar i can see that problem with tls .....and co at our BOX was day's after the update 1.62.4 to 1.62.5 seen , but the same day that Letsencrypt did renew for HOSTNAME automaticly.

Maybe again a connection here with the Letsencrypt updates en DA LE script?
