To customize widget, you may replace it with https://forum.directadmin.com/showthread.php?t=57994, and add/change any code needed. Regarding top-left place - it's not customizable at the moment (unless you do CSS changes, using external CSS included in Customize Evolution Skin).

How to do through css

These would be css-only changes. You can load external CSS in “Customize Evolution Skin”. Skin files are in /usr/local/directadmin/data/skins/evolution, but they’re already compiled.

I have found out how to get the Icons working. on the DirectAdmin demo site demo.directadmin.com it has a drop down called Default Icon Pack how do I get this as i want to change my icons to the Modern Icons.

You can upload your icon and change icon for each menu in "customize evolution skin"
