Top 5 wanted features!

I would like to see:
  1. AWstats included into DirectAdmin.
  2. Individual e-mail user control panel.
  3. Integrated ClamAV support and the newest SpamBlocker.
  4. Better support for changing skins (especially hiding or adding extra options).
  5. Multiple assignable IPs per user.

1 PHP5 and PHP4 support
2 Mod_ruid (better then suPHP)
3 ClamAV and Spamblocker (users can enable/disable it)
4 Include (weals) update script in the admin section
5 Finishing the BETA restore function
 
1. Multipe databases with one db user (like in CP)
2. Per domain usage stats (CPU, Ram, etc)
3. Roundcube and Horde instead of Squirrel and UebiMiau
4. Better support for changing skins (especially hiding or adding extra options).
5. Less hardcoded text for language translation purposes

That's all I want :)

1 already can be done in new versions of DA.

These are what I want.
1. perfect jailed shell
2. php4+php5
3. file manager manipulate apache uid/gid files
4. Per domain usage stats (CPU, Ram, etc) - this one is good but seem very hard to achieve.
5. perfect login DA with port 80 solution
 
Thank you for your opinions :) Now it would be great to have a TOP5 without suPHP, php5, AWstats and roundcube :) It's being implemented into DirectAdmin. Thank you 2nd time. You're great!

When will this be included ?
 
Please do not ask questions "When, how and why". There is no release day set. Roundcube will be included when RC1 of it will be released. AWstats - maybe in 2 months. New customapache should be available in 1 month. I'll not answer to the questions like this in the future, because this thread is only for TOP5 lists and nothing more.
 
1. Allow to create admins with only certain permissions (like to just be allowed to enter in user accounts, but not be able to use admin functions)
2. Replace Spamassassin with something more efficient
3. Per domain usage stats (CPU, Ram, etc)
4. cPanel & Plesk accounts importing tool
5. option to delete backups older than x days
 
currently the only idea I would implemented is:

1. CPU and ram useage per site - e.g. xxxx.com domain is currently using x amount of memory and x cpu load.

otherwise thumbs up for DA :D

1) Ability to hide the nameserver option from the control panel. No need to have it display if resellers do not have the option of managing nameservers.
2) Ability to hide the number of users on the server. Currently all resellers can determine the number of users on the server. Why would we want them to know how many people are on the server?? :confused:
 
my top 5.

i think i speak for most of us.

1) Billing / Recurring Features, even a simple implementation will do. as long as it works.

2) Come with security feature. i know this is vague but, can't we have some of the most basic things on by default? like, use the els script?

3) PHP 4 / PHP 5 / Ruby on Rails support

4) Replace Uebimiau with Horde or RoundCube. Uebimiau really sucks, the more i use it, the more i realize it. Alot of things don't work. Especially encoding stuffs for Internalization(asian charsets).

5) Trial Demo download version. For testing purposes.
 
Ok, I have rethought my top five after reading some of the above. I will erase my previous post.

1- Backup per domain. It's a pain in the ass if something goes wrong in only one domain, and can't restore cause you are putting everything else back in time.
2- Less harcoded text for language translations
3- Create Admins with selectable permissions.
4- CPU usage per domain sounds really good.
5- Allow user to change skin (so this could also be done via API)

1) Ability to reset passwords for Reseller And Users from the control panel login screen.

How else should people reset their passwords? :confused:
 
I see the knowledgebase article now that you pointed it out but where did i miss this annoucement? I dont see it in any of the upgrade options besides, im running the latest version and i dont see that option anywhere.

Notify all admins whenever a service goes down using the messaging/ticket system.
Overselling: Allow Resellers to sell More features than they are allowed.
Suspend a Reseller and his Users when the Reseller goes over his Bandwidth limit.
Allow a Reseller to Backup/Restore his Users.(Seperate from User Backup/Restore)
Use the automatic updater to automatically get the lastest version of DirectAdmin.
Enable User Demo. Login: demo_user Password : demo
Enable Reseller Demo. Login: demo_reseller Password : demo
Enable Admin Demo. Login: demo_admin Password : demo

Im using the enhanced skin by DA surely if it was there i would see it under the above settings. I wonder what other settings im not seeing
