Discussion about CustomBuild

Because earlier months do not have build date set (%YY%MM format).

Yes, there is :) Just rename earlier month stats in /home/user/domains/domain.ext/awstats folder. E.g. you have:

  • awstats.domain.ext.alldomains.html
  • awstats.domain.ext.allhosts.html
  • awstats.domain.ext.allrobots.html
  • awstats.domain.ext.browserdetail.html
  • awstats.domain.ext.errors404.html
  • awstats.domain.ext.html
  • awstats.domain.ext.keyphrases.html
  • awstats.domain.ext.keywords.html
  • awstats.domain.ext.lasthosts.html
  • awstats.domain.ext.lastrobots.html
  • awstats.domain.ext.osdetail.html
  • awstats.domain.ext.refererpages.html
  • awstats.domain.ext.refererse.html
  • awstats.domain.ext.session.html
  • awstats.domain.ext.unknownbrowser.html
  • awstats.domain.ext.unknownip.html
  • awstats.domain.ext.unknownos.html
  • awstats.domain.ext.urldetail.html
  • awstats.domain.ext.urlentry.html
  • awstats.domain.ext.urlexit.html
Rename them to (if you have 2008-09 data):

  • awstats.domain.ext.0809.alldomains.html
  • awstats.domain.ext.0809.allhosts.html
  • awstats.domain.ext.0809.allrobots.html
  • awstats.domain.ext.0809.browserdetail.html
  • awstats.domain.ext.0809.errors404.html
  • awstats.domain.ext.0809.html
  • awstats.domain.ext.0809.keyphrases.html
  • awstats.domain.ext.0809.keywords.html
  • awstats.domain.ext.0809.lasthosts.html
  • awstats.domain.ext.0809.lastrobots.html
  • awstats.domain.ext.0809.osdetail.html
  • awstats.domain.ext.0809.refererpages.html
  • awstats.domain.ext.0809.refererse.html
  • awstats.domain.ext.0809.session.html
  • awstats.domain.ext.0809.unknownbrowser.html
  • awstats.domain.ext.0809.unknownip.html
  • awstats.domain.ext.0809.unknownos.html
  • awstats.domain.ext.0809.urldetail.html
  • awstats.domain.ext.0809.urlentry.html
  • awstats.domain.ext.0809.urlexit.html
And make sure you have coorect links in awstats.domain.ext.0809.html then :)

What happens in 2010+???..

Do they have to be renamed again every couple of years???
If your answer is yes, I think I'll revert back to Webalizer... Less maintenance.. ;)

Unless my assumption that "0809" represents the years 2008 and 2009 is wrong, I'm under the impression that when we hit 2010 we will have to rename the files again..

Will we???

I would like to combine PHP running in CGI mode and Zend optimizer.
I have PHP running in CGI mode. PHP.ini is located at
/usr/local/etc/php5/cgi/php.ini

But when I run ./build zend
then zend assumes the php.ini is at /usr/local/lib

What to do now?

Worked like a charm....

Well ran the script with only httpd 2.2 and php5 and it worked like a charm for me. I forgot to turn of the dovecot program, so now next to exim dovecot has been installed.

Is there an easy way with custombuild to undo an installation too for dovecot?

Thanks for any info... All the rest went OK in 1 run.. :D

No, DirectAdmin says it's irreversible. Which means that even if you can reverse it, they don't support reversing it.

I suggest you consider leaving it. Lots of good reasons, and no good reasons to leave mbox that I can think of.

CustomBuild 1.1.14 and 1.2.8 will be released today, new features:

  • Added custombuild option
  • Added clean_old_webapps option
  • Added webalizer option
  • Added awstats option
  • phpMyAdmin 3
  • Huge code clean-up

If you want to try it:
1.1:
Code:
cd /usr/local/directadmin/custombuild
wget -O build http://www.custombuild.eu/build-1.1.14
chmod 755 build
1.2:
Code:
cd /usr/local/directadmin/custombuild
wget -O build http://www.custombuild.eu/build-1.2.8
chmod 755 build

ls: /usr/local/awstats: No such file or directory

After upgrade to Version: 1.1.14, I always have message
"ls: /usr/local/awstats: No such file or directory" when running some build commands.

Sorry to ask a question I know has been answered over and over (I can't seem to find the answer because there is SOOO much info on custombuild)

Can you have BOTH custombuild and customapache? Will the interfere with each other?

How do I install the latest stable version (at the begining of this thread it talkes about version 1.1, is that the newest)?

I'm happy to read a link if somebody can find where to read... every search I did yielded too many results...

I'm getting that same error

I imagine that if I build awstats, it will fix the error... but I don't really need it.

:)

You cannot use both custombuild and customapache. If you switch to custombuild you can switch back but the switch is neither easy nor intuitive.

I believe that's the latest stable version. It will soon be supplanted by 1.2 if I recall correctly. Instructions for converting to custombuild, and updating instructions, are all in this thread.

We'd be happy to spend the time you are obviously too busy to spend. Please contact me at my email address below to learn more about our hourly rate :D.

Thanks for your answers, that did answer my main questions. As for the links, that might have come off wrong, I was fishing for somebody who might have had similar questions, and had them answered, and knew excatly where to look, without having to do any hunting. I wasn't asking for somebody to hunt for me.

Thanks again for your help
