Maybe DigitalOcean better but at that price one can find good VPS about everywhere.
OVH is not really good against spammers. We got so many from there we blocked 2 complete OVH cloud ranges. You can just as well choose Hetzner Cloud then. There are many out there.
Contabo depends, some have a lot of issues, some don't, but I warned for that in my post too.

But indeed one can also run remove nameservers.

I rent a server with Hetzner for a few business projects and run DA on it. I pay about 34 euro a month for it, and i've got 64GB ram, Intel Xeon 8700 12 cores @ ~4.3GHz and 2x1TB NVMe drives setup with RAID1 for redundancy. It's got unlimited traffic and a 1Gbps connection. I know it's a few years old but It performs perfectly for what I want it for and as it's a bare metal server, I don't share any resources with anyone. I can thoroughly recommend Hetzner and they have some great deals also from time to time. It's all down to what you want to do with it really. Can't say i've used Digital Ocean before but heard good things also

Yep, sometimes you can find quite nice servers there for a very low price. We run all our servers with Hetzner, some in Finland and some in Germany, never any complaints.
