[RELEASE] Installatron (DirectAdmin auto script installer)

Phil,
I successfully installed Coppermine via Itron back on April 8th. It works great. I'm not sure what version Itron was at then but I'm sure that it has been upgraded since then. It looks like the same version of Coppermine (1.2.1). But now something is wrong with the way that the installer is running.

Okay, Coppermine is fixed. Click the 'Update Installatron' link and you'll be good to go. :)

I did start adding Geeklog at one point. I think I stopped just because we already had 5 blog/cms scripts.

Right now we've put a freeze on new packages until the core is complete (which should be within a week of the next DA release), but once that's done I'll have a look at adding it.

Superb! Thanks for considering. ;)

oh and eh, you mention on your site the prices will change after the core is completed? Change as in go up?

The price for a few will go up and the price for a lot will go down.

Get in while the going's good. :)

We're aiming to have 1.6 ready within a week of the new DA release, and then there might be one more version a short time after that for remaining tweaks. That's the plan anyway.

I don't think installation upgrading is going to be fully integrated by our next release, so I'm going to guess that the whole deal won't take longer than early June. Maybe June 10th ish will see our release with full installation upgrading? Of course, all I can do is guess.

Translations?

Is it easy to translate installatron to other languages?

We're looking at creating a very simple language file for the next release of Installatron.

Almost released it last night but time caught us out.

But it's basically ready to go so it will be released today (Murphy willing).

One last final request, if I may :)

The installatron features of building new groups that are allowed to use the features are GREAT.... one pet peeve tho.

Is there a way (and yes, I realize this is on the DA side) to specifiy WHICH package, perhaps by a drop down menu, a client is authorized for in the new client setup side of DA ?

For instance, client orders a premium package with installatron. You manually setup the client in the DA interface (I know - old school when you have progs like MB or whois.cart). You then have to go to installatron admin, and manually add that client to the premium group - or those "authorized" to use the package.

Is there a way, or CAN there be a way to have that option in the "customize package" field on the DA side?

That would be uber cool!

Thanks

Joe

That's a good suggestion. We'll have a look at what might be available in the API to add something like that.
