[RELEASE] Installatron (DirectAdmin auto script installer)

Sounds like there's still an archive downloading issue with 3.0beta2. Hopefully Phil will be able to put out beta3 today.

Rowan.

You have chosen to create a new installation of the bookmarks script: SiteBar

* Error: Archive file for the selected script is not cached. Please ask your administrator to run the 'Update Installers and Languages' tool.

This type of error is really kinda getting exasperating. Our clients are starting to get a liiiiiiiitttttttttttle bit po'd...

Can we get this cleared up soon please? Seems the previous releases, before all your addons were MUCH more stable.

To those having issues with beta2:

Installatron v3.0beta3 is now online. This release contains a fix for the bug that was causing archives to be "inaccessible" while Updating Installers and Languages. The full change log for beta3 is here.

If you are having problems with any installers, please update to this version of Installatron and run an Update. If you still are experiencing problems after the Update, please contact us with DA administrative login information through the following secure form so we can look into this directly: https://www.installatron.com/contact

Thank you, Phil.

It's fixed!

If you perform an Update, you should download the missing archives and everything now works.

(it wasn't even a bug in Installatron, it turned out to be a problem in our ioncube encoder script)

I feel like this West Wing quote right now:

"Victory is mine, victory is mine, great day in the morning people, victory is mine. I drink from the keg of glory, Donna, bring me the finest muffins and bagels in all the land."

Thanks for those who gave us server access for tracking down this frustratingly persistant problem, and we apologize for any inconveniences. Progress will now be swift and painless.

Rowan.

Works this is what I did.

1 - Downloaded phpBB and renamed manually to fix the missing archive.
2 - Upgraded Installatron
3 - Ran update packages it found a bundle.
4 - Updated my phpBB install on my user account.

Is there anything else I need to do, or should all my packages be functioning now? As it was mentioned about downloading updates manual.

We just encountered an issue with the Gallery installer...

Error: Unable to extract the tar.gz package file. Please inform your administrator.

hostpc, can you tell me if this file is about 2287k in size:

/usr/local/directadmin/plugins/iTron/cache/archives/gallery13

If it's not, delete that file and run Update again. And let me know if that fixes it.

Rowan.

iTron]# ls -la /usr/local/directadmin/plugins/iTron/cache/archives/gallery13
-rw-r--r-- 1 webadmin webadmin 14741 May 2 10:53 /usr/local/directadmin/plugins/iTron/cache/archives/gallery13

removed, re-updated:

# ls -la /usr/local/directadmin/plugins/iTron/cache/archives/gallery13 -rw-r--r-- 1 webadmin webadmin 14741 May 2 19:38 /usr/local/directadmin/plugins/iTron/cache/archives/gallery13

all other installers are functioning correctly AFAIK...

Just one more reason for me to REALLLY disklike Gallery

Your server isn't downloading the entire file from sourceforge. Odd that it would stop at the same place twice though.

Try this:

wget http://easynews.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/gallery/gallery-1.5.tar.gz

What size file does your server retrieve?

Rowan.

Okay, it's another sourceforge problem. Their mirroring system is forcing the archive to be downloaded from the cogent mirror, which is returning a html page instead of the file.

Phil has some tests he's implimenting to avoid the problem in the future.

In the meantime, just rename that file you downloaded to:

/usr/local/directadmin/plugins/iTron/cache/archives/gallery13

And it'll work.

Drupal's going to need at least another day. Can't get the database updater working.
